Brief info

Hi there – I’m so glad you’re here! No matter what brought you to this page, I am proud of you. Taking the first step toward seeking help is not easy, and I am honored to be a small part of your story. I received my Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling, which places an emphasis on counseling specific to people with disabilities. I strive to create a safe, trauma-informed space for my clients where you feel heard, valued, and empowered – with a gentle nudge here and there. I primarily utilize a person-centered, strengths-based approach, but also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally-Focused, and Solution-Focused strategies. That might sound intimidating, but ultimately, I will partner with you to tailor our time together to what you need.

With a background in disability services, college counseling, and community mental health, I’ve had the privilege of working people experiencing a variety of concerns, such as:

  • Trauma
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Stress management
  • Grief and loss
  • Religious deconstruction
  • Life transitions
  • Family-of-origin challenges
  • Self-esteem
  • Identity development
  • ADHD
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • LGBTQ+ issues

I am especially passionate about working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and people who are neurodiverse, through a neurodiversity-affirming lens.

While I am a Christian counselor and offer faith-based counseling if desired, I welcome clients from all backgrounds and belief systems. Your time in our sessions is exactly that – yours. I seek to create an accepting, warm atmosphere where you can truly be yourself. You matter, and you are welcome here.
