Is This Right for You?

ADHD testing for adults and children — available anywhere online.

Creyos ADHD testing is designed for people who want objective, clinically validated data to understand how their brain is functioning — not just a symptom rating scale.

You may benefit from ADHD cognitive assessment if any of the following applies to you or your child:

Difficulty sustaining attention at work or school

Frequently losing focus during conversations, reading, or tasks — even when effort is being made.

Memory and organization challenges

Forgetting commitments, losing items, struggling with deadlines or multi-step tasks.

Suspected ADHD with no prior diagnosis

Adults who were never evaluated as children, or children ages 10 and older whose symptoms have not been formally assessed.

Prior diagnosis, updated data needed

Existing ADHD patients who want current, objective cognitive data to guide treatment adjustments.

Overlapping diagnoses (anxiety, depression, trauma)

Cognitive testing helps distinguish ADHD from conditions with similar presentations — improving diagnostic accuracy.

Not sure if you qualify?

That is exactly what our consultation is for. We will review your history and determine whether Creyos ADHD testing is the right fit. If it is not, we will tell you that and help point you in the right direction.

Our intake form includes both Adult ADHD Assessment and Child ADHD Assessment as options — indicate which applies when you request your appointment.

About the Assessment

What is Creyos cognitive testing?

Creyos (formerly Cambridge Brain Sciences) is a cognitive health platform built by neuroscientists and used by clinics and research institutions worldwide. Unlike traditional paper-based ADHD checklists, Creyos uses validated computerized tasks to measure actual cognitive performance in real time across the domains most commonly affected by ADHD.

This gives our MD objective, measurable data that goes beyond self-report. Because symptoms like distraction, forgetfulness, and impulsivity overlap with several other conditions — including anxiety, depression, and trauma — objective cognitive testing significantly improves diagnostic accuracy.

The results are scored and evaluated by our MD, who will provide a written report detailing findings and recommended next steps.

Why objective testing matters for ADHD

ADHD frequently goes undiagnosed in adults — particularly women and high-functioning individuals — because symptom questionnaires rely entirely on self-report. Creyos adds a behavioral performance layer that self-report cannot replicate.

Cognitive Domains Assessed

01

Sustained Attention

Ability to maintain focus over time

02

Working Memory

Holding and manipulating information

03

Processing Speed

How quickly the brain responds

04

Executive Function

Planning, impulse control, flexibility

05

Verbal Reasoning

Language-based problem solving

06

Episodic Memory

Encoding and recalling events

Testing is not diagnosis

Creyos results are one component of a comprehensive ADHD evaluation. Our MD does not diagnose ADHD based on test scores alone. Testing adds objective data to a broader clinical picture that also includes your history, symptoms, and intake findings.

Assessment Types

Adult ADHD testing vs. child ADHD testing

Separate assessment pathways for adults and children, each calibrated to the unique cognitive and developmental needs of that population.

Adults (18+)  Most Common

Adult ADHD Assessment

Adult ADHD is significantly underdiagnosed — particularly in women and high-performing individuals who developed compensatory strategies early in life.

Our adult assessment measures the cognitive domains most affected by ADHD in adulthood: executive function, sustained attention, processing speed, and working memory.

  • ✓  Full Creyos adult cognitive battery
  • ✓  Clinical interview and symptom history review
  • ✓  Written results summary, MD-reviewed
  • ✓  Fully online — available from anywhere

Children & Adolescents (Ages 10+)

Child ADHD Assessment

Early, accurate identification of ADHD in children supports better academic, social, and emotional outcomes. Creyos offers age-appropriate cognitive tasks that capture reliable performance data.

Child assessments are conducted in partnership with parents and, where appropriate, coordinated with school or pediatric providers.

  • ✓  Age-appropriate Creyos cognitive battery
  • ✓  Parent interview and behavioral history review
  • ✓  Written results summary for family and providers
  • ✓  School coordination available upon request

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Answered honestly — because you deserve clarity before you commit to anything.

About the assessment

What is Creyos and how is it different from a symptom questionnaire?

Creyos is a cognitive performance platform developed by neuroscientists at Cambridge. Instead of asking how you feel, it measures how your brain actually performs using computerized tasks that assess attention, memory, processing speed, and executive function in real time.

Does a positive result mean I have ADHD?

No. Our MD does not diagnose ADHD based on test scores alone. Evaluation requires a full clinical picture that includes your history, symptoms, and intake findings. Testing adds objective data; it does not replace clinical judgment.

Is this the same as a full neuropsychological evaluation?

No. A full neuropsychological evaluation is a much longer, more involved process. Creyos testing is a focused cognitive screen — valid and rigorous, but not a substitute for a full neuropsych battery in complex cases.

Can I complete the assessment from home?

Yes — the assessment is completed entirely online. We will send you a secure access link before your appointment, and you can complete it from anywhere with an internet connection.

How long does it take to get results?

Our MD will score and evaluate them within 2 to 3 business days, after which you will be contacted to review the report with a provider.

Does my child need to prepare for the assessment?

No special preparation is required. We recommend your child is well-rested and not hungry. The Creyos tasks are game-like in format and generally well-tolerated by children ages 10 and older.

About cost and access

Why does insurance not cover this service?

Insurance coverage for cognitive testing varies widely and is frequently limited or excluded. We offer this as a transparent, self-pay service so you know the cost before you commit.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required. You can schedule directly through our contact page or by calling us. If you are currently working with another provider, we welcome care coordination.

Can I use my FSA or HSA for this?

In most cases, yes. Cognitive assessments for ADHD generally qualify as eligible medical expenses under FSA and HSA guidelines. We are happy to provide documentation to support your claim.

Do you offer any other mental health services?

Yes. Transitions offers individual therapy, couples counseling, medication management, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. If your results point toward additional support, we can often provide it in-house.
